Wow, this is such a haunting, chilling and creepy novel. Of survival and what it takes to make people go a little bit mad and also watching some rather middle class people become a bit loopy. I wasn’t keen on one of the characters Nina, was the most annoying, irritating and quite creepy also incredibly rude and selfish. I feel that she, though didn’t actually kill one of them she was the cause for all the weird stuff that went on, and has a cold way of talking about people.
I loved how we see each persons worries and fears as the time starts to run out for them. If you love archaeology, ghostly tales and a haunting atmosphere this is one for you.

creepy, moody & a breathtaking setting. there were four or five first-person narratives, and i'd rather have had one perspective and experienced the whole story that way, but you can't have everything. thought nina and ruth's narrations were strongest, and while jim's perspective was interesting, it was ultimately too short and then also dismissed as useless later in the text. but other than these pov issues, cool book!
