My Thoughts

Well, this was interesting! I'm writing this up before I continue onto the next installment in this series, because if I read the entire series before writing up the reviews, I could mix things up within the reviews. But HOLY SHIT. What is happening in this book? I need to know more! I really enjoyed this book and really need to start on the next one! Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher definitely know how to keep you reading!

This story is about Charlie Margaret Wynwood and Silas Nash. They wake up one Wednesday morning at 11 am in a class that they don't remember, with people they don't remember, and they don't even know who they are. What's happening to them and what's causing it? They embark on this journey to figure it all out and boy is the journey exhilarating! I can't say much about the rest of this story because I do not want to give anything away. I will tell you that the first installment leaves on a cliffhanger so make sure you have all three parts to this series before starting!

The writing flowed really well and even though it is told in 2 POV's, I didn't get lost while reading it. Well, I got lost, but not because of that, but because we are in just as much of the darkness as Charlie and Silas and it is a thrilling ride! If you like a mystery that is romantic and thrilling at the same time, pick this up! If you like Colleen Hoover or Tarryn Fisher pick this up! But please do not pick it up unless you pick up the other 2 parts as well! You won't want to wait! :)

I. Just. Can't.

FYI..It's not really a serial or novella, but at 140 pages it's a quick Mature YA contemp mystery/drama/crazy pants story! Be prepared for a doozy of an ending - where is #2!
You can't go wrong with CoHo and Tarryn.

Okay, what the heck!?!? CAPTIVATED. From the very beginning. Hooked and just totally stunned at the end. Good thing I don't have to wait months for the second book to come out. I have a theory in my head but honestly..... I have no idea what is happening!!!

Usually I enjoy the "what's happening to us" stories, but from the beginning this one just felt so forced and unrealistic. The story seemed superficial throughout, and never really drug me in, making me want to read more.

The idea has potential, as do the characters. I think there could be great stories behind Silas and Charlie, but this wasn't it. 1.5/5.

Actually 3.75 ⭐
I love the concept and I love CoHo deeply, she's my queen but I need more.
It was a fast read and I am intrigued I want to know what the heck is going on before deciding how much I love this story.
And why isn't this just one bigger book is beyond me but I'll take it.
I WANT TO KNOW MORE.

As far as Colleen Hoover books go, this one was completely different than what I am use to. Now I’ve only read this first part all the way through, as of today. But I am in the middle of part two. I don’t know if the difference is because she was co-writing this. This isn’t to say it’s bad. In fact, I feel quite the opposite about it. I think this is so engaging and entertaining. Hoover and Fisher did an incredible job at making you feel as lost and confused as Charlie and Silas. I love the chemistry they have despite the huge road block. This is truly a unique story plot that I honestly didn’t expect. I’m a huge Colleen Hoover fan and will read any book that has her name on it, so in all honesty, I didn’t even read the back of the book. I started reading with no expectations whatsoever and it was the best thing I could have done with this book. Part One was incredible and I am anxious to find out what happens in the next two parts. I highly recommend this book, along with all other Hoover books!
