To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. I've been waiting for polish edition of this book so long. Book is great and I love Jennifer's books but something is missing in this part of series.

While this book was good, this book in the series really didn’t have much development. What was said in 400pgs, could have been accomplished in 50. The top 4 important things that happened in this book were
Alex no longer being connected to Seth, Aiden and Alex getting the details from Solaris in the Underworld on how to defeat the First, Lea dying, and Alex facing off with Ares who is responsible for Seth as the Apollyon.
The rest of what goes on in this book is purely filler material. Nothing of value is appreciated or written in this book.

I have waited FOREVER for this book to come!!!! The ending of Deity and then reading Aiden's POV in Elixir were almost too much in this book world of cliffhangers. Why did Jennifer choose to torture us so? I'll tell you why. She tortured us because she wanted to give more awesomeness in the form of Apollyon.

I was very skeptical of this series in the first two books. They were almost identical to the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. But Jennifer has done an amazing job of developing this into a unique story centering around Alex, our heroine. Alex is strong, tough and can take care of herself. She's also the second Apollyon, destined to fall under the spell of the First, Seth. And she does. She has lost her personality. His desires are hers. His anger is hers. His love is hers. His ambition is hers.

Aiden knows that the Alex he loves is still in there, that if he just remind her of how much she loves him, she'll return to herself. So everyday, he sits with her, sometimes talking, other times just watching while she threatens to kill him and his brother. But he loves her, so he keeps coming down to talk to her. Until one day she does escape and almost kills him.

Now, now, I'm sure you're wondering why Alex is our heroine and not our villain. If you are, you obviously haven't read the first 3 books and 2 novellas. Go back read them I say. READ THEM!!

Apollyon doesn't have as huge of a cliffhanger as Deity but it will definitely leave you wanting more. But there is good news, Sentinel is set to release a month early on November 2, 2013 rather than in December. :D

Wow. This book never stops and ends with a punch.

All the characters seriously grow in this book especially Alex and Aiden. Alex turns from a self centered girl to a mature adult with a large heart.

It also shows us how strong Aiden is and that he would do anything for Alex and his brother. Seth on the other hand you feel a little sorry for, but know he is going to get what he deserves.

There are lots of twists and turns, some questions are answered and others are opened up making you want to read more.

Apollyon is a masterfully crafted book that deserves a place on any bookshelf.
