It was OK. Typical YA high school book and it felt a little immature at times - using language and sexual references that didn't add to the overall story, or at least I didn't feel like it did.

It had the stereotypical characters and in a stereotypical manner they are thrust together into a situation they have to work through.  I did however find myself playing along with the story and trying to unpick what had happened as the story developed.

I like that the book divides each characters personality, point of view, thoughts, also to keep the readers guessing interesting to see how did it. To see how each perspective of the character describes in depth of there point of view. To find out who killed Simenon there are 4 suspects spending time with each other talking to each other they start defending each other from the taunts of their peers . They believe none of them are the murder. I was very surprised who as the murder its unexpected who as behind it . I love a thriller murder mystery young adult read.

After reading The Cousins recently, I was inspired to go through the authors backlist of books.

This was such a great story that had so many layers! I will admit, I was a little nervous getting around to this very hyped book, but it was definitely worth it.

I never expected who would be the culprit in the 'whodunit' plot and I think it was executed really well.

The characters were fully dimensional and I was invested in all of their stories.
Nate really irked me in the last few chapters! I felt so disappointed by his decisions, it was just mean.

I think my favourite character was Bronwyn. They all had some really problems in there life but for some reason the internal and external pressures of being the perfect everything really hit me.

This was exciting, immersive, thrilling and had  lot of depth to reflect on the consequences of spiteful rumours and extremism and radicalisation within education.

I loved this book. It's full of plot twists and a massive one towards the end. I will recommend this to all my friends.
All the characters were always on the edge. I'm a bit sad that I will never read it for the first time again but the second time will be good.
