This woman is hilarious and she can write a damn good story. I love these kinds of books that have many short stories in one book and Jen does a great job keeping you hooked. Very rarely do I laugh so hard I cry in a book, Jen made me do it twice.

My love affair with Lancaster is over.

At first, I loved this book. The main character is snippy and funny... But then, she stays that way. And I wanted her to have some kindness, some thoughtfulness, some compassion for anyone besides herself.

God I love this woman's writing! I literally laughed so hard reading the part about the gyno's office, I cried. My dogs looked at me like I had lost my ever-loving mind. Love, love, love her writing! I highly recommend this book!

I read this on vacation. It's a great vacation book because you can pick it up randomly and because there are fun lines you can read aloud to your fellow vacationers.

However, after a while, it all started to sound like the same whiny Jen Lancaster after a while. Not that it's not funny anymore ... but find something new to whine about, will ya?

This is the best book ever. When I stopped reading it, I felt as though my best friend moved away. We had some good times together :) Jen Lancaster has a very witty, sarcastic, and always hilarious way of explaining her world. She tackles various subjects such as annoying neighbors, her crazy dogs (I can totally relate) and her constant procrastination against working out. I guess it sounds like every other chicklit book, but I must say I think it stands out among all others in terms of laugh-outloud-ability (and yes I made that a word). LOVED IT! Will be putting her other book on my bookswim list immediately!

Seriously, Jen Lancaster had me laughing out loud while reading the entire time! I loved every page of her book and can totally relate to everyt word she writes. Can't wait for her next book! The perfect beach (or anytime) read. Would suggest this book to anyone looking for a fun, fresh, comical read.

This was my fourth Lancaster book this year, and no, I’m not sick of her yet. This was her sophomore effort and it was wonderful. She tells what it was like having her book launched, doing some appearances and interviews – on the national level mind you, and yet, she still had to work a temp job to get by. A career as an unpublished author does not earn instant gratification, that’s for sure.

I loved her tales of life in the big city, which was so not Sarah Jessica Parker like. She’s refreshingly honest, and as always, so funny.

I just couldn't get into this book (though I previously liked books by this author). It felt whiny and complaining in a way that wasn't amusing. I found myself slogging through it trying to finish so I could get to my next book. At 60% I just gave up and moved on.
