This was a masterful book. When I opened it I was anxious about all the characters, I thought it would take ages to get to know who was who. However, Morgan took me by the hand and guided me at the perfect pace, so that I knew most of the characters at the end of the first chapter. Can't wait to see where this goes.

I downloaded this book on my phone to read in the bus, between classes or any other time where I didn't have a physical book with me. I expected to take longer to read this book because I don't have much time between classes or the bus, but I couldn't put this book down. It got to the point where I started reading it at home and loved the story.

The multiple points of view was an interesting addition to it. It gave me a lot of insight into the different kingdoms and princes and princesses. You can understand where the people come from, why they are the way they are. It gives the readers background on the characters and helps us understand the world better. The world building was well done as well, I was able to picture the kingdoms with ease. I was at the edge of my chair since the very beginning and I wanted more. The ending... the cliffhanger... I cannot wait for the next book.

There were a lot of things in this book that were kind of unbelievable, but I actually really enjoyed reading it! The pace of the book to was bitter sweet. I felt that the pace of the story went along a bit too fast, although it kept the story exciting. I can't really think of any boring parts in the book. Most of the characters are unlikeable, but some do grow on you a little bit and it seems that the perspective on certain characters may change in the second book. There were lots of killing off characters which makes it so much fun :)

I'd be an idiot if I wouldn't admit that I really, really enjoyed this book! It's like reading "Game of Thrones" minus all the gore, death and...the rest.

"Falling kingdoms" transports the reader into the world of Mytica an island surrounded by the Silver Sea, where magic has almost disappeared and two kingdoms will unite against the third.

It's curious how the actions of one brought the disaster I read on this book, not to mention that it reminded me the "butterfly phenomenon"; where it is said that the movement of a butterfly's wings can cause a typhon in the other side of the world.

I had absolutely no problem with the POVs. I like the use of third POV in high fantsy novels, since the MC can show more than the 1st POV. Cleo, Magnus, Jonas, Lucia and the rest of the characters become interwined with each other although I think that the first book was more about Cleo. I hope also to read more about the Watchers, these immortal beings who like to spy through golden hawks (which is really cool!).

I will surely continue reading the rest of the series, since I want to catch up with Morgan's latest release "A Book of Spirits and Thieves"!

Pretty good overall. A little slow, but in a game of thrones fashion (meaning I liked it but I didn't really feel like reading it until I was actually reading), which I'm sure was the point. Though I hate to compare it to GoT, as other people tend to, because I feel like it sets a sort of expectation that I'm not sure it met. The characters were interesting enough. It was a bit predictable, but there was a moment that surprised me. I'm curious to see how the series progresses.

Such a predicable story but I loved every second of it. There was a lot more death than I was expecting and the plot moved really quickly. Some of the characters were annoying and hard to like. There was also insta-love that honestly came out of nowhere and was laughable. Despite all of its flaws, I had a really great time reading Falling Kingdoms and I can't wait to continue with the series!

Haven't read something quite like this after Flamecaster. 5 stars to character development and world building. Story needs improvement though.

Couldn't finish it. Loaded with fantasy cliches and sophomoric emotional range.
