Unfortunately, this is the worst book of the series. Lulu is a strong and believable main character, but the male love interest falls far short for both her and the series. Described multiple times by Lulu as "the town bicycle of the Renaissance Fair", Dex spends a majority of the book either as a playboy or seemingly sulking about his new singular attraction to her. There isn't enough character development to let us see any potential change in him. To be frank, I just don't believe in him as a character or in their relationship, which made it unenjoyable to read. Unlike the previous books in this series, which I have really enjoyed, finishing this was definitely a slog.

I think this might be my favorite book in the series (though Mitch and April are still my favorite couple). What a wonderful read.

This book was so boring. The author spent more time describing every detail of the fair instead of showing us the characters being together, so I didn't buy their relationship.
