My first Stephen King.
A great October read.
Love the high school setting.
Loved Carrie and how extra she was with her powers.
Not my favourite style of narration all the time, but it worked well enough for me.

Stephen King never fails to make ordinary things creepy. First, how the heck did he come up with this idea in particular?!? A women entering puberty, the zealous religious mother, pigs blood... I really like how the interviews and articles were spaced throughout the story. As I was reading it made it seem like it was a well researched actual true event that was unfolding. The main events were believable, a girl have her period for the first time, cruel children picking on someone who was different from themselves, a parent gone off the deep end, a girl trying to fit in, a girl snapping after one too many cruel actions against her.
