Loved this insight into Fred's past - and a great easter egg (is that the right term for it though?) if you've seen the show!

Sorry friends who have to see all my notifications today. I'm going to be busting through these.

This comic takes place between episode 4 and 5 (aka right after the group gets Fred the Horse). It basically tells the backstory of Fred. And it's a quite interesting and enjoyable story, too (if not a bit chilling, haha).

These comics are so high quality when it comes to dialogue, story telling, and art. They're probably the best graphic novels I've ever read--connected to an existing piece of media or otherwise. I strongly encourage everyone to give them a chance!

It's still Over the Garden Wall and that alone is enough to be engaging and entertaining - it's a fantastic universe. And this has a little of Wirt and Greg being themselves which is fantastic, but mostly it's the story of Fred the Horse who was probably the worst part of the original episodes, and he doesn't quite redeem himself here. Though this does expand the universe in a good way that's in keeping with the overall atmosphere of the series, I wasn't too sad to see this issue end.
