Balan and Dheera made me go nuts, like, in a right way, I was overwhelmed. It is a mythological thriller, mixed with some contexts from the 21st century.
Starting with the story, it is about a serial killer, Balan and cops Sathya and Maruti. The cops are after Balan and looking for the reason why he is killing people in such a horrifying manner, along with his motives. After some inspection, they get to know about some sacrificial motive behind all this killing with a few primaeval folklores.
Isn’t it fascinating? Well yes, it is, please go read this book asap.
I must say that the plot is definitely unpredictable, each page unfolds new twists and turns. The writing style and narration are great, I mean it’s a debut novel by the author and it’s splendid. Moreover, the concept is very unique, distinct from the books I have read till now. It is a bit long and slow-paced but it gets better.
I’d say that this is one of the best thrillers I have read lately. Highly recommend it to people who read thrillers and mythology.
