“We don’t know where we’re going, we don’t know what’s going to happen, but no one can take away from you what you put in your own mind.”

“Time doesn't heal. It’s what you do with the time. Healing is possible when we choose to take responsibility, when we choose to take risks, and finally, when we choose to release the wound, to let go of the past or the grief.”

The Choice by Edith Eger is a moving memoir with a powerful message. Part memoir of the past, part guide to building a better future for yourself, Eger tells us all she has survived and highlights that even in the darkest times of our lives we always have a choice. A choice to choose how we will respond and how we want to live. Humbling and incredibly inspiring.

What a touching story! It’s beautifully written when unfortunately the context is the far opposite.

I cannot imagine living through her life experiences (from such a young age). And it’s a talent to have the courage to write everything down and share it with the world.

Apart from the last part, I couldn’t stop reading it!
