Beauty & the BeastHonestly, for a plot driven book, I felt that the plot was rather predictable, and my favorite part of the book was the supporting characters. I didn't find the main characters terribly interesting, and they don't really grow much over the course of the book. I enjoyed the variations in this retelling, but the story itself didn't seem terribly unique to me...but I DID enjoy it as a lighthearted read, despite the violence and dark themes.

. Reading this just infuriated me and not in a passionate way, in an annoyed, "why would I waste time on this" way. A shame too because I loved Throne of Glass!Graphic: Death of parent, Toxic friendship, Emotional abuse, Toxic relationship, and Domestic abuse

As a whole, I think this book is ... okay? To be honest, the characters all lack variation; ESPECIALLY the men. My God. As I mentioned before, they're all smug and have the same sense of humour.
The main character and the love interest have ??? No chemistry at all? I don't know, I might've developed a Stockholm syndrome, too, but I find nothing romantic about this relationship.
I have friends who enjoy this sort of erotica, though, so I know it's a thing, but I personally don't like the brushing off and poor writing of assault and harassment here. It's unrealistic and (though intentional) exclusively pornograpgic.
Some seem to be annoyed by the riddle? I have no opinion on it, other than that it was cheesy.
Well, anyway, I wanted to give this an «okay👍» in rating, because I know that a lot of people enjoy this, and that my judgement of it is biased because I don't think I am the target audience here.
