even though it was not my most enjoyable read, i don’t want to take this story for granted. i especially loved the ending and i’m so happy that i’ve finally read this beloved book <3

I had another audio version, that had several volunteers read the story. The story itself is interesting.

I know it was written in 1910 and maybe the modern reader is supposed to overlook this but, WOW was this book racist. It is a quick read though about 130 pages.

Very much a product of its time but still an enjoyable read when taken with a grain of salt. Still, magical.
