Normally when I read a book with multiple storylines, I’m only engaged in one. With this book, I was completely engrossed in each storyline until the very end!

Heather Gudenkauf is one of my go-to authors. I don't even need to know what the book is about to want to read it. I love her writing style and ability to keep you guessing. This book was no exception. It is told in four parts that change from the present to the past and between characters. It was very easy to follow but I kept wondering how the stories were connected. Of course it came to a thrilling end.

As an Iowan I like reading books set in Iowa. This book is set in a small town in northwestern Iowa. I like reading about real towns that I know! Heather wrote another great book that will keep you guessing until the very end!

A good suspense story, a little different than typical.

It was mostly predictable, I saw 3/4 of the twists coming very early in the book.

Also suffered from the drawn out "people won't just die" conflict trope, trying to draw out the climax. But it got to the point where it annoyed me.
