Fun art with lots of chances to compare animals as Little Owl is presented a series of animals who might be his mommy. Easy text for vocal drama. Easy to invite children to interact vocally with the book.

A fun story, but some of Haughton's others stories are more captivating.

An adorable picture book about a baby owl who becomes separated from his mother while sleeping. The pencil and computer animated pictures provide a surprisingly emotive characters, especially the worried baby owl. There's some laughs and the chance to make sound effects. Perfect for a preschool-first grade read a loud.

5/5 TE SCHATTIG! Alleen wel gek dat de dieren koekjes van mama uil mogen want je mag geen koekjes van vreemden aannemen.

When little owl falls out of the nest/tree I had to laugh. Chris Haughton's illustrations were pretty funny. And I like how the ending ties it right back with the beginning. Nice twist on the typical toddler/preschool story of a lost baby/child looking for mommy.

Really gorgeous illustrations. I'm in love with this author's style. And you don't see a lot of olive green and magenta in children's books.
