I don't know much about sports, but this book was really interesting. The audiobook narrator was great too :)

This book was astonishingly good for such an intuitive concept. It is amazing this book was not written years ago. I want to send it to every athlete I have ever admired. I also want to throw it at Kevin Durant's head.

This book should have been titled “Vignettes of the Greatest Athletes in Sports History”. The premise of identifying leadership qualities by examining standout team captains throughout sports history was loosely applied throughout the book. In the end I didn’t come away with a sense of the qualities that made these captains effective, just the anecdotes about why they were interesting or unusual in some way.
