The thing is I love this book. But I have the worst fear of losing on of my parents so this book made me feel terrible. The relationship between Blake and Em was beautiful on the other hand.

This novel is cute and lovely. Characters are so relatable in some points of my life.

The main plot doesn’t focus on the romantic relationship between Emily, the protagonist, and her friend Blake. It is more like Emily’s self-discovery journey. The only thing I feel a little disappointed about is that the author doesn’t give further storylines about Emily and Blake after they confessed their love for each other. I really expect more about their relationship. The ending shuts down so abruptly.

4.5. This book was so heartwarming and felt like a hug. I loved the main character and the journey she went on, and the development she had as a person and with others. I liked the relationship development between Blake and Emily. I also thought this book did a good job at depicting grief and what it means to live without someone. The only critic I had would be that Blake felt a little one dimensional, but that kinda made sense since this is more of a coming of age book than a romance book
