3.5 changed to 4 stars with the ending. This was super fast-paced and fun, reminded me of a mix of Groundhog's day and a book I read earlier this year by Laurel Hightower called Crossroads. I know this is Mike's first book so I am excited to read his other books to see his writing develop even more! I can tell he has a love of the horror genre. Great stuff.

Unfortunately I liked the idea of this book more than the book itself. Although I felt sympathy for Rob’s situation, he was not likeable at all.
Surely he realised what a bad idea his plan was way before reaching number 48? I think after 3, 4, 5, you’d be getting the idea, never mind 48!
With this in mind, the book kept me interested enough to want to see how it ended, so entertainment-wise it is worth a read.
I received a complimentary copy via Voracious Readers only - thanks to them and to the author.

Very interesting plot! Creating hell on earth while trying to bring someone back from the dead. Pretty sure David was the devil himself. There were a few typos and a few words left out but it was way better quality than most of the freebies I get. Definitely worth reading!

An original wicked little novella. This story shows just how far Rob (the main character) went to see his son again. The pacing of this story was fast-paced giving you only time to register the grim happenings before spiraled into the next chain of events. I felt the heartache and desperation with Rob both as a father and his longing to see his son again as well as his urgency to undo what he did to make things right. It goes back to that saying, ‘Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it’, and that rarely ever is what you really need. You find out just how out of control Rob’s life becomes when he goes through with the actions to bring his son back from the dead. It simply is not good but so worth the time to read. But as for you, if it came down to it and you could bring your loved one back, how far would you go? Read the book and let it change your mind…
