It's hard to rate a collection of short stories, especially when they're all from different writers. My favorite story was The Cartographer Wasps And The Anarchist Bees by E. Lily Yu, which was so good I plan on looking for more of Yu's work. Other standouts included Nalo Hopkinson's The Smile On The Face and Peter S. Beagle's Come Lady Death.

Neil Gaiman sure knows how to pick incredible stories. Each story was beautiful and had wonderful creatures. Lovely imagery too. All the selections felt fresh and original and I would gladly read any of them again.

An enjoyable collection of short stories with a fun theme. The Griffin and the Minor Canon, and Sunbird were my favorites.

A great collection of short stories that screamed 'things Neil Gaiman would want to read'. Intriguing mix of mysteries, dark fantasy and new fantasy creatures that boggle the imagination. Some of the stories were closer to 5 star, others maybe edged toward 3 star, so overall a 4 star journey :)

I liked half of the book, the other half was very ok or really annoying and a bit childish. The best stories were by far "The Compleat Werewolf", "Come Lady Death" and "The Smile on the Face"

As a whole, the book falls right in the middle of the road, 2.5 stars.
