Het hele opzet, een schriftelijk verslag over een filmverslag over een nooit gevoerd gesprek, was uiteindelijk wat te zeer aanwezig. Voor mij. Maar zeker goed genoeg om uit te lezen.

Very unusual book by this excellent Israeli writer with its english translation.
You have to think about this book after reading it as it is very complex a tale about a family stepmother Vera father (small figure is Tuvia) daughter of stepmother Nina son of father Rafi daughter of son of father Rafi and yes daughter of stepmother Nina who is Gili-.

Very interesting story, though the timline gets a tad confusing at times. For a book that keeps on mentioning how importatnt details are, the character introductions feel a little superficial and make it hard to really empathaize in the beginning, though the books picks itself up towards the end. Dialog and flashback sceens are very beatifully written, the rest somtimes drags on a bit.
