Hunting's "Meet Cute" is certainly what it says on the cover; it is cute. If you happen to like contemporary romance, there's certainly little wrong with choosing this for your latest read. "Meet Cute" hits all the beats (cute, shipper on deck child; character growth; happy ending), but does progress faster than other examples in the genre. It's cute, and it will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy. The theme is nicely done, the characters feel solid and real.
I rate it three stars only because this is not typically the genre that hits all of my buttons. I liked it, but probably would not consider this one of my "favorite" books of all times. Parts of the book (particularly anything concerning the main characters' jobs) felt unrealistic and pulled me out of the story asking questions like, "Is this technically legal?" Additionally, as a quick warning, the book is surprisingly racy for something billed as a contemporary romance. If you're not into sex scenes, be warned that some will pop up, quite graphic and unexpected.
In any case, there are no serious issues with this book. It's light, fluffy, and perfect for the right reader. It's just not my personal favorite.

Can't find the trigger tag for this, but as a warning, the main conflict of this book is a messy custody dispute. One of the prominent characters has a backstory involving foster care. She's specifically stated to have few memories of said foster care, but traumatic childhood experiences are heavily implied.nemaria's review against another edition
