Another fantastic addition to the series! I liked the focus on Faz (much like Del got in the last book) and of course I love revisiting the rest of the Team A! I’ll be curious to see if the series continues, especially since there is a new character to consider. I certainly hope it does!

The first 5 books of this series where fantastic, and kept my attention very well. In this book, I feel like it started to drop off. This series is supposed to be following Detective Tracy Crosswhite, and in the past, all of the books where mostly in her POV. This book went back and forth between her POV and Detective Fazzio's, making it a little hard to follow, especially since their stories didn't really intertwine at all besides being on the same task force.

An excellent entry in a fantastic series. I enjoyed this one a lot. It was more heartfelt than the previous books with our characters experiencing complex situations and emotions. I have come to love the side characters as much as Tracey and enjoyed the multiple plots which interweave throughout the story. I also enjoyed the cultural elements and the themes of family. Highly recommend.

I couldn't put it down! I am a Dugoni fan since his David Sloan books and I enjoy the Crosswhite series just as much.

The storyline of the 2 investigations kept the story moving smoothly forward. The personal touches from more of the A Team is like peeling back onion layers as we get to know more about these ensemble characters. Dugoni has used real time issues the USA and the world is suffering from in his past several books. Cultural differences, heroin and health concerns keep his stories relevant.

Definitely a good read!

I have to admit I literally just stumbled upon this book while browsing Amazon, but I am elated that I did. I LOVED this book! This is the sixth entry in the Tracy Crosswhite series, but it is the first one that I have ever read. Luckily not reading it in order didn't detract too much from the plot or story line.

The novel focused on two 'A team' cases, with a new female “fifth wheel” Andrea Gonzalez. Tracy (while pregnant) is asked to assist Pryor with a missing person case involving an independent, smart Indian woman who strong willed and constantly questions her family's Indian traditions. Faz and Del investigate the death of a female activist. Though throughout the course of the investigation Andrea has to step in has Del as he throws his back. We also are brought on the journey of the medical crisis that Vera experiences and its effect on Faz as he fights to concentrate on his case while being there for his wife.

The book reeled me in from the very first page. It was funny, interesting, and well written. The characters were relatable, and the issues presented were resolved well. I will definitely be diving deeper in this series, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the suspense genre.

a mystery, with a plot covering every type of relationship/marriage there is. Quite interesting.
