I’m just so disappointed in this book. I wanted to love it, but I just couldn’t connect with Greer. I couldn’t figure out what was likable about her. She comes across as arrogant & belligerent rather than sassy & intelligent.

I also couldn’t get with the male narrator of the audiobook. His breathy, airhead sounding women & his dudebro guys who always are yelling were just too much. Not a fan.

I went back & read the ending in the physical book so I could get his voice out of my head. The ending was good, that’s why I gave it 3 stars.

This started off reaaally well, I was getting into it. Really enjoying the banter between them and then it sort of fizzled out. There is slow burn and then its just boring, not enough tension not enough chemistry and I got a little bored by it all. The story is fine if again a little underwhelming.
I'm not sorry I read this book but I doubt I'll read this again.

Another hilarious book by Max Monroe. Greer is a smart, snarky, sarcastic, has no filter, tell it like it is kind of gal. Sometimes that gets her in trouble, though that isn't always a bad thing. ;) Trent takes his job seriously and this mouthy woman is the bane of his existence, but after a while that mouth starts pulling him in. Trent is under pressure with this new hotel his dad's company is building and he is short tempered when things don't go as planned. This is causing those working with him to walk on egg shells, until Greer steps in and puts him in his place. The characters are fun and witty. The story is mostly light-hearted. Nothing too emotional. The sexual content is limited, not very graphic. It alternates between POVs. It's easy to read and reads quickly. Well written. Even though the sexual content is limited, I would say this is suitable for mature readers due to some strong language.

*I received an ARC of this book.

High energy and occasionally a little over the top, The Billionaire Boss Next Door is a fast-paced and funny enemies-to-lovers romance that is fun to read all the way through. With sassy characters, general hijinks, and an alpha male who stays within the bounds of respectable behavior even at his worst, it's a quick, fun read with some tender moments and plenty of happy feelings overall.

Love me an enemies to lovers story, and even more when the FMC is strong and holds her own against and equally strong-willed MMC. Enter Greer and Trent. The angst and dialogue (including inner dialogue) is on point. *Although the banter between Greer and Cap was probably my favorite part of the book tbh (was beyond delighted to learn Cap got his own book!)

Alexander Cendese is one of my favorite narrators so he just elevated this story even more.
