Okay so like for a ya fantasy it’s good, but also not extremely special. Characters are kinda basic the romance is a little choppy, like one second they are married the next they are just hooking up. That’s not really true but it gave me those vibes. I really enjoyed the plot though and I felt like I was reading a game of dungeons and dragons that had a romantic plot.

World build 2/5 not super in depth but has potential and will probably be better next book with the set up

Plot 4.5/5 love it

Romance 2.5/5 cute but choppy

Characters 2/5 I have a problem enjoying any ya fantasy character because they are all the exact same as is the case here.

Loved this book. It was fun to have such action packed chapters with romance sprinkled in. It's been a while since I read a YA book, and I thought this was a fun story. Both MCs were sneaky and well intended, but nothing could go right for them Looking forward to Book 2.
