Knowing Hades’s pov added to the appreciation and enjoyment of A Touch of Darkness, even if he was horny 80% of the time

Hermes is iconic, and Hades’s and Hecate’s friendship is adorable

but the audiobook narrator is horrendous, it’s like Siri had a baby with ai, he did Hades so dirty

This is Book 2 of the A Touch of Darkness Series, first book in the Hades Saga. I like how similar Hades’ thoughts are to Persephone’s in their conjoined scenes. Compared to A Touch of Darkness, Persephone seems more bold and confident here. I also like how Hecate and Hermes show up more! Hecate is the mother both Persephone and Hades needed.

I gobbled this up. Like the first book, it was a fun time but not a well-written time. Though this book definitely had more plot moving the story along (which I appreciated). However, the plot got lost at parts throughout the book. I also felt like the romance part of the book was less compelling and more horny. We also saw a little bit more of Hades’ dark side which fleshed out his character. I feel like the first and second books could have been combined and condensed to make a better story overall, but I’m not made I listened to this 12 hour audiobook.

this series is one of my absolute favourites! i’ve read the 3 books from persephone’s pov, which i loved, and i love hades’s pov just as much. i’d say he’s a character that is usually short, to the point, and honest, but this book (and the 2 after) give so much more insight to what goes on in his mind with and without persephone around. scarlett is one of my favourite authors and has been for years <3
