Predictable tropes, but Sarah Eden does some good banter.

Athena Lancaster is on the hunt for a husband. She is sure her brother-in-law and guardian, the Duke of Kielder will only tolerate one season and hopes that will be enough time to find her Prince Charming.

Harry Windover has been the Duke’s closest friend since childhood and has loved Athena since the first time he met her. However Harry is charged with the task of helping Athena find a husband so the duke doesn’t have to. This new responsibility and his lack of funds marks Harry as ineligible and unable to court Athena. How can Harry find Athena a husband when he wishes to be that husband?

I think my favorite part about this book was seeing Harry interact with Adam! Harry is so jovial and Adam is perpetually grumpy, and yet they take care of each other. I especially loved seeing them team up to defend the women they love.
Harry may not be the richest or handsomest gentleman in the ton but I just love his humor, his sincerity, and his loyalty.

Just like the other books in the Lancaster series, Courting Miss Lancaster parallels Greek mythology. Athena and Harry’s story parallels the Athena and Pathos myth.

If you love sweet clean regency romance, forbidden love, ridiculously grumpy dukes, and entertaining banter you should definitely check out Courting Miss Lancaster!

Super cute book! I love that the personalities of the main characters were so different then the first book.

Harry Windover adores Athena Lancaster, but as he has no inheritance a poor noble man like himself has no hope of winning her hand. To add insult to injury, Athena's brother-in-law and guardian, the Duke of Kielder (Adam), has asked Harry to assist Athena in finding a gentleman of her dreams. Athena can't comprehend why she is having so little success meeting eligible and acceptable gentlemen like the loyal, gentle friend she's found in Harry. She wants a white knight, it can't be that hard to find. Can Harry win Athena or will she find a more acceptable suitor.

I liked Harry. He had noble intentions and didn't mean to only to make Athena miserable. I had less patience with Athena. She was almost flighty and blindly oblivious to the fact that Harry was eligible. Adam would have not problem with her marry Harry. She is waiting for a sign and almost gets herself ruined for it. I liked seeing Adam and Persephone again.

This was a fun book. Many people have recommended this series to me and I never knew the order of which book to read first so it seems I am reading it out of order as this was the first one I read. I am giving it 4 stars because I honestly can't believe there isn't a number on the books. If you're doing a series, it needs to be recognizably on the cover or the first few pages what books are in the series.

This is one of the first string of books that introduced me to the regency genre several years ago, and so I felt it was time to read it again. It's pretty light-hearted and adorable. And though all the characters are great, you can never get enough of the Duke of Kielder. Eden has a way with making such unique and iconic characters that you simply cannot help but love them.

Fun short read. I really like Adam, he seems even more cool. Very predictable romantic and fun. Just what I needed.
