Why did this book make me cry so much?! WHEW! This was definitely the most emotional part of Ethic's story (IMO). So much growth occurred. So much love. A great way to 'end' Ethic.

Also.. if my man doesn't propose in a bookstore.. I'ma be mad as hell LOL

6 books. well, 7 if we count Moth to a Flame. this series was truly a journey that i enjoyed every moment of. i so deeply loved the characters, so much so that i felt frustrated with them at times lol. the amount of pure love that exudes from these pages is so strong that i literally felt it within my body. i loved every second. ethic, alani, morgan, messiah, bella, eazy, even hendrix, aria and isa. i loved them so dearly and i’m so sad to see the ending, but i’m glad at least A+E got their happily ever after.

I will be taking a break before starting the butterfly series because Ethic 1-6 drained me. I am glad to be moving on from Ethic & Alani being the focal point because they were tiring to read about. Im excited to see what becomes of Bella & Hendrix and also Bash/Ahmeek & Morgan. I just know it’s going to be some shit because Morgan is definitely settling for Bash.

This. Nigga. Here.
Whew! This was a read. A black love story for the ages. The twists, turns, up, and downs of this emotional rollercoaster had me experiencing so many feels. At points I didn't want to put these books down and couldn't. These characters remained with me even in my sleep. This is a story of love, forgiveness, healing, growth, and resilience. Ethic. Alani. Nannie. Bella. Eazy. Morgan. Messiah. Bleu. Isa. Aria. Ahmeek. NYAIR (who I don't think gets enough love). We watch these characters walk through so much turmoil, brokenness, and healing. They grow through it all. One of my favorite things about this book besides the characters and storyline is the accompanying playlists and infusion of music through this story. These books come with their very own soundtrack that has me all in my feels with songs on repeat. If you wanna snot-nose ugly cry, experience full belly laughs, and wade through every emotion with these characters this is the book for you. Our very own black love story. This story has revitalized my imagination and creativity. Thank you Ashley Antoinette for telling our stories with such care and passion. Keep writing! We want more!

My review in 6 words: Beautiful and tragic all at once

I truly hate that I connected so much to these characters because this final book is definitely bittersweet. One of my favorite couples survived their rollercoaster ride so I was excited about that but everyone didn’t get a happy ending and that hurts. (exhales). There were a few revelations in this book and Ashley wrapped it up perfect. No loose ends except the one that leads us to believe someone may have survived SOMEHOW and we will find out in the spinoff “Butterfly” which is all about Morgan Atkins. Personally, I want a SERIES (not a book) about Bella and Henny!!!!!!!!!
