Listening to this was relaxing while doing errands, some poems struck home to me but I do wish that there was a introduction to the books author.

The introduction is handy. But I still don't like Yeats much. The Tower has its moments of being-poetry-I-like (like "Leda and the Swan," which was sufficiently short and confusing and paradoxically beautiful and terrible to strike my fancy). But I couldn't bring myself to read beyond the requisite Tower bits.

Magic woven into delicate rhymes. The nature in his purest state. Friends and long lost lovers. Irish politics. The occult and the symbolic interwoven with myth. Yeats poems are a lesson in description, in setting mood, in capturing the best of dreams and ethereal moments. It represents a challenge for us non-native english speakers, but it is wonderful and rewarding. A hihgly recommended read for everyone.
