The writing isn't fantastic, which is upsetting considering I, like Provine, am an alumna of the OU Professional Writing program, but the stories are interesting and it's nice to see some historical context to the campus legends.

A quick, enjoyable read. Could have used some deeper editing, especially with pacing and sentence formation. It reads more like speech than the written word. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, it just needed to be more consistent.

All in all, I'm still glad I bought a copy of this book; I love supporting local authors and I find OU's campus history to be fascinating. I can easily see myself re-reading the stories and sharing them with others in the future.
