How can you resist reading these? They're well-written and I've read them several times through. They always provide me with a couple of weeks of exciting reading.

I have read all of Harry Potter, but inactuallity, only own 2, 5, & 7. Good series, and very interesting. They just keep getting longer and longer though.. haha

This was a very fun read. My daughter read them as they came out, and when the last one was published I read all of them at once, start to finish. I think it's a wonderful story and addresses some heavy issues about life and death, something you don't find that often in children's literature. I recommend it for young readers (and their parents).

Why i love all the books so much? Because when Harry hopped on the Hogwarts express for the first time i was around his age. And we grew up together. And living in his magical world for so many years helped me escape my own.

And even though Harry himself is completely useless and kinda a d**k and just unbelievably lucky, there are soooooo many other characters to love, to laugh with, to cry with, to miss when they were gone... You just want to be there with them. I'm still waiting for my letter..... :/

i'll preface this by saying that i too was once a skeptic, determined to resist potter-mania. but once i read the first book, of course, i devoured the rest of them in a matter of weeks (well except the last one, which i read later). as most people are now aware, these books are not kiddie lit nor are they crap for wannabe tweens and their moms but actual literature that i'm convinced will stand the test of time.
