This book is wonderful in so many ways. Vivid, dreamy, beautiful, it starts off slow then the magic draws you in. Perfect if you love magical realism, intergenerational sagas, or compelling prose that makes you want to savour every page.

I really enjoyed the storytelling of this book. The book centers around Orídea’s grandchildren discovering their grandmothers secret past and the gifts she passed down. The book alternates storytelling between Orídea‘s point of view through her life and the grandchildren. I thought the magical realism was beautifully woven throughout.
