Though this is the first of a series, there are other stand alone's that can be read before this one that I will be going to find as there are established couples and references to previous events that happened in those books.
There is such a great plot to this story that draws the MC's, Mace and Pax, together as Mace stands to protect and serve out some revenge in Pax's honour. We get to see the darker side of Iron Heretics MC but the legitimate business people they are. Also, what truly lovely people they are especially when it comes to those they care about.
Right from the start you can feel the undercurrent of attraction between Mace and Pax but there is never a power imbalance between them regardless of body size, temperament or societal role. We are first introduced to the two men when they first meet after a traumatic incident and then the next chapter is one year later. They've had a chance to build a tentative friendship in that time whilst also recovering/working towards revenge. Both men have sworn off of relationships due to bad/upsetting childhoods but there is something there that neither can deny. It's really heartwarming reading them grow closer over time and allowing themselves the connection that is clearly there between them. There's a perfect love/heat/friendship balance that works right through the story, drawing you into the depths of the relationship and story line. There's also a good amount of drama that keeps the characters on their toes, especially towards the ends, showing the strength and bond of the club members and the people they consider family.
I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and the relationships with others around them along with an captivating plot. Very good bad guys and easily lovable MCs. Definitely a recommended read and I'm looking forward to book 2.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

So, I feel like I was missing something from the beginning as I think the book is related to another series that I haven’t read but I don’t know if that’s for sure. For how ominous the blurb make it sound I felt the book was very hunky dory without much conflict and the little bit that happened was quickly taken care of. I liked these two but didn’t necessarily feel connect to their story.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.

What a great start to the Iron Heretics MC series. We did get introduced to Pax and Mace in the Cold Light Assassins Criminal Delights Book 14.
In this well written book their likeable characters are developed much further and we get to know more about the former escort Pax and the Sergeant At Arms Mace.
Theirs is a slow burn affair as Pax is still recovering from a life changing event 12 months earlier. Lots of tender kisses and heartwarming moments are shared between them, and of course, after a few bumps along the way they get their HEA.
I found this to be a really enjoyable, engaging read with all the elements of a biker MC, great main characters and interesting and intriguing side characters setting the scene for more Iron Heretics MC stories. I’m really looking forward to more!

Amazing!

Pax and Mace’s story is epic! It’s a roller coaster of chaos but their love story is oh so sweet! Can’t wait fir Axel and Leith!

Disrupt
is the first book in the Iron Heretics MC by Michelle Frost. While it is a stand alone, readers of the authors other MC series will see more than a few familiar faces. For new readers of her work, like me, you'll be left with the urge to go read all her MC books before this one.

We are introduced to Pax at his most vulnerable and Mace stepping in to care for him. Pax is currently a bartender at Spritz , a bar/brothel for mostly gay clientele, and Mace is the Sergeant -at- Arms for the Iron Heretics MC. Mace didn't believe in relationship up till Pax and he will do everything in his power to keep him safe.

"Neither one of us were relationship people , but I was afraid even something casual with him could ruin me."

Disrupt is a fast paced story that is over before I wanted it to be. I could have read way more than 134 pages of Pax and Mace. I really loved the dynamic between them. Mace this lethal tattoo'd bad a** MC was protective and in tune with more reserved Pax who was still affected by something traumatizing. They were really sweet and adorable together and when they physically stepped up their relationship Mace let Pax take control.

"It had been that way since the moment I met him. There was no one in my life that I'd ever wanted to just cuddle except for Pax."

My complaints for the story were really only the length and the pacing. Also, the fact that I could tell that this was a spin off series based on the fact that all the established couples. Since I enjoyed the writing style I plan to go back and read how the other couples we met got together and I'll look forward to more releases in this series.

Even though it's the first book in the Iron heretics series, it felt like a lot of background was missing so I would not recommend starting with this one. The characters also all felt a bit shallow and it just couldn't keep me interested.

First, this DOES NOT standalone. At all. Everything about the plot of this story and the growth of the characters connects and continues from, I assume, another book featuring what are now side characters. So I was very lost and missing something when previous events were references or characters were introduced in connection to that event. I wish that had been clear before I started reading it so be warned. Now, once I figured out what happened and how everyone was related and whatnot, the story itself is very good. I enjoyed the romance and how the characters slowly came together and really thought and made sure it's what they wanted, together. It's honestly, kind of fluffy. There's a few action scenes and whatever they were fine, and added some excitement. But the climax? Kind of doesn't. It just suddenly ends. Maybe it's savage of me, but I kind of wanted more. Still, I'm not mad I read it and I did like the characters and romance. I'd be interested in more of this series (and the previous related books).
