Full disclosure: I am more like Scrooge than I am George Bailey, but even so I have to describe this story as FUN!
Nadine is my favorite character of the series so to read a story featuring her was a gift in of itself. I truly expected a sugar fest but was pleasantly surprised that there was a lot of depth to be discovered about Nadie. A backstory is always a good thing when it comes to bringing characters to life for me, and Michael Penmore has, in my humble opinion, succeeded at doing just that.
I've said it before, and it bears repeating: Michael Penmore shows great potential and with every release, he realizes more of it.
