I like the butterfly expert aspect, and found myself looking up further information about some of the various Tasmanian flora and fauna mentioned in the story. But, in many ways Jack and Lawson seemed too perfect (a word they use often). I wish they both would have been less one-dimensional. Overall, an okay story to pass the time reading-especially as it's a fairly short novel.

Simply adorable.
I loved everything about this book.
The characters, the feelings and the setting.
Just.... I can't find enough words....

Honestly, this book just didn't feel like N.R. Walker's best work. Everything felt abbreviated, the scenes going very quickly with not enough world building/setting or emotion. It was all very *telling* rather than *showing*, and while the sexy bits were nice, we didn't see much of our heroes' actual romance develop. We don't even get to read the I-love-yous on-page, but rather in a catch-me-up in the epilogue "oh, and we said that we love each other", etc. I really wanted more out of this book. It had such potential and a great basis for the plot; it just didn't hit the mark for me.

Additionally, I'd recommend reading this one, rather than listening, because the narrator is awful. It's all very one-note, everyone's voices sound the same, and he made the sex scenes sound a bit creepy.

Nerdy academic meets hulking cinnamon roll park ranger. I couldn't find much not to like about this book, my only gripe with it is that it's very short, thus the pacing is very fast.

Things I like about this book:

This was good and sweet. What I like about N.R. Walter's books, are that they don't become too saccharine or sappy. They are just not too much. I'm generally not into the too romantic, too sweet stories... I need a bit (or a lot) of angst to be satisfied. And I still prefer Walker's books that contain both sweetness and angst. But this book was sweet and delightful and just good.

Aww!!! This was simply adorable. The connection between Jack and Lawson, the cuteness between them, the heat and passion.

I'm happy I finally got to this because it was just a fun, light, adorable read. Lawson is an absolute cutie, and yet can be quite the tiger in the bedroom *wink* *wink*. I didn't think a book about someone who studied butterflies for a living could be so interesting, but it was. The ending especially had me going "omg!" which I did not expect from this story. Loved it!

Like, the only thing that frustrated me was how long it took these two to go all the way lol. Which is funny because they'd only known each other about a week when they finally did go all the way, but they were practically in love, or well on their way, by the end of this story, which ended after them having only known each other for a few weeks.

But it just worked with these two. They were wonderful together. I liked how near the end it wasn't completely perfect for these two, and I kind of want the second one to have a few trials and tribulations, if only to see these two not be quite so perfect with each other.

But they were just so sweet, so attentive with each other, so determined to make the other happy, it was beautiful.

I very much enjoyed this story, can't wait to get to the next one! <3

Ignore the creepy cover, it's a sweet story. It would have been nice if the narrator of the audio book had two separate voices for the MCs, as it was hard to tell them apart.
