Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this one. While I sympathised with Cameron and the horrors he’d endured at the hands of his ex wife, I thought the handling of her evilness was truly awful. She was described as falling into a “melancholia” after the birth of her son, which in today’s terms would be called post natal depression. But not only that, she was forced to have a baby she didn’t want as she never wanted to be mother. Don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t excuse her sadistic behaviour (which was bordering on a little unbelievable at times, tbh) but these facts (as well as labelling her a sex addict and a whore) seemed to be lumped in with the atrocities she’d done, as if they were just as bad as her being an abuser!! It made me feel uncomfortable and sucked all my enjoyment from the story. This is why I hate the villainous woman trope.

I’m starting to wonder if the first book in the series was just a fluke, because book 2 and 3 have been either lacklustre or insensitive.

Cameron was such a turd in the beginning, but my adoration for Ainsley kept me completely invested. I adored seeing all the family, and Daniel's interactions with Cam were some of my favorite moments. I cannot wait for Hart's book next.

I do love a damaged hero, and few are more damaged than Lord Cameron. His relationship with Ainsley was sexy and charming and I loved it.

I really loved this book so much. I loved Cameron and Ainsley more than anything, but also enjoyed how Daniel's character came through. Cameron's back story was amazingly written and so heartbreaking. I would have liked to see more of a development between Cameron and Daniel, I feel like their relationship could have been so much more powerful. Meanwhile, the whole button theme was very cute and hilarious xXx
