The style is very manly. I'm impressed this was written by a woman.

It's so dry and uncomfortable and it proved impossible for me to read it all in one setting. I liked some parts of it but didn't enjoy the whole thing. I don't think the protagonist was strong enough to carry it on its own.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this book. On the one hand, it was fast-paced and captivating, I think it would make a nice movie actually, but on the other hand, the story was so damn predictable! I'm not sure what exactly I expected, but there weren't enough thrill and mystery for me. I liked the ending though.

Consigliato.
