crazy all over the place

A tad more spicy than the last but this one seemed to hold back a little on anything *too* saucy. My hesitation here is the length of the book for not enough plot. I’m all for the character development as a device, but this kinda dragged for a while. Obviously, we start off with a bang (not literally, unfortunately) after the cliffhanger of the previous book. Then we go into a whole lot of nothing really happening before a wrap up of so many storylines all at once. Reading this before the HC series set in the same world might have been my mistake (I think there are several characters who made appearances that left me confused) but it still gave me more time with my MCs with the crazies and I enjoyed their minds (what little they had) so much.

I received a copy of this book as an ARC but this is my own opinion/review.

Susan and Caroline painted an interesting world with this duet. Not many authors can make you love a band of serial killers quite like they do.

Brooklyn reminds me of Aelin from Throne of Glass mixed with Harley Quinn. The comedic relief is top notch as well. I had plenty of moments of just laughing and having to reread a sentence. Brooklyn is almost like a fierce protector of her men and I loved that because it's typically the men doing the protecting.

The references to their other series surprised me but also made me happy because Zodiac Academy is one of my favorite series.

Jack ended up being my favorite however Mateo and Niall were just as well written and captivating characters. The relationship between Mateo and Niall reminded of Ryder and Dante from Ruthless Boys. They put their past behind them for Brooklyn's sake.

I did prefer the first book more than this one but I would still recommend Society of Psychos to my friends.

Brooklyn is a HANDFUL. She's hilarious and I wouldn't want her any other way. I love her, Niall, Mateo and Angry Jack. I am sad to be leaving them behind, but they were such a fun ride!

If you thought The Death Club was a bit on the crazy side, just hold on to your horsies. I have never laughed so much at Brooklyn and Niall's arguments and how they have to best each other. There is never a dull moment in this duet. It is seriously one of the funniest I have read.

As always, I love everything that C&S writes! I also loved the little nods to other series that we got in this one.

Very funny. Very dark but also lighthearted at the same time. Check trigger warnings, lots of violent deaths.
