The first 3/4 of this book is a really fun and exciting cop chasing bad guys story. Then it gets reeeeeally dark as they talk about some dark corners of the dark web. They give a heads up in the introduction, but even without extensive description it is really bleak.

This was well researched, well written, and a very compelling read. However, it definitely delves into some dark topics (specifically Part IV) so be warned.

Andy does a fantastic job of taking real events and weaving a gripping story out of them. Even if you're unfamiliar with some "cyber" concepts, Andy makes it approachable and easy to digest. Creating characters out of real people, thrillers out of true events-- this is a great follow up to Sandworm!

Enlightening into the rise of crypto, the motives behind it and the takedown of several heinous crimes through online black markets. A fast read, although weirdly paced. I think parts one and two suffice, with part three being a weird bridge from the past to the present, skipping way faster than necessary. Also fair warning, at times it almost reads like an advertisement for Chainanalysis and their software, although it does a good job at describing its background.

Learned a lot about how traceable and not anonymous Bitcoin is! Though heads-up: this book is almost exclusively written from a law enforcement perspective, despite being written by a journalist.
Moderate: Child abuse, Sexual assault, and Sexual violence
