I wanted to like this book, and I did. But no where near her other books. It was too long, dragged in the middle. So much potential. I wanted a better, stronger ending.

I really enjoy Jodi Picoult's writing, and this one kept me reading. She makes characters real and the imagery just enough and the story pretty sensational, but well woven and suspenseful.

This might be the worst Jodi Picoult book I’ve ever read?? Lol

The ending left me feeling... Kind of empty. I was expecting something more, but at the same time I can't imagine the book ending any other way.

Picoult novels never disappoint me. In this book, issues of divorce, affair, and stigmata take center stage on trial. I love how Picoult moves from first person to third person seamlessly, even within chapters. This story kept and held my attention the whole way through.

I read about 1/3 of the book and gave up. I found the storyline to be quite boring which is too bad since the paraphrase on the back cover sounded interesting. Just questions of why Faith is doing all these things and if she is really doing them, if it's just her mom, etc. It got very tiring and I also got confused by all the characters being added every few pages. Disappointed that this book wasn't as good as I had hoped for since I had read so many good reviews about it.

This was one of the books on the shelf at our family cabin so I picked it to read while on vacation. What a mistake! I stayed up so late to finish it and I’m upset at the lost hours of sleep. Young girl whose parents are going through a divorce starts speaking to God, or is she? Insert all the predictable cliches like a protective but complicated mother, cheesy romance with the antagonist turned good guy, and then don’t even fully explain anything in the end. Boooo! Not a fan.
