Josie is a gem. Rune doesn’t make the best decisions but in the end, redeems himself. I finished book 6 and jumped to this one since technically you can read them out of order, but I think I did myself a bit of a disservice doing so. Felt a little out of the loop on things, esp since Nïx is so central to this plot and I didn’t really know what was going on Accession-wise at this point. Overall though, steamy as usual and I felt like these two had a more emotional connection than IAD6 I had just read.
Graphic: Child death, Cursing, Death, Gun violence, Sexual content, Blood, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Violence and Death of parent
Minor: Child abuse, Pedophilia, Sexual violence, Slavery, and War
