I really enjoyed this book a lot. this will definitely be something I reread. "Dreaming of Hair" is now my second favorite of all time. I both can and can't believe this is Lee's first book. It is sentimental, sweet, and contemplative and my favorite moments are when he allows himself to be playful and weird.

A father's day venture that carried me through July. Truly a delight! Li-Young Lee's celebration (reverence?) of the everyday is filled with tenderness and patience. Particularly struck by "Mnemonics," "From Blossoms," and "Braiding."

Personally not my style of poetry..plus the poem about his sister creeped me out.
