Urban romantic fantasy in a future Bay Area where tech and magic co-exist uneasily, a bit more Berkeley than SF, but still fun to visit. A quick and easy read and a bit better than book 1 in the series in my opinion - or better yet, just treat this as the second half of the same book ;) I would definitely not read this as a standalone. I like the world [a:M.J. Scott|4458590|M.J. Scott|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1602990888p2/4458590.jpg] is building and would be happy to visit again.
