Usually i don't get bored even if I like a book, but this got so boring to me so fast. The only stories I was interested in the entire time was the first half of Luisa Rey's and Somni's chapters. I was also excited to see how theyr'e all connected thinking it would wow me a couple times, but there was only one time that I was excited by it, (in spoilers) which is sad considering thats the majority of what this book is hyped up about. Around the last 2 chapters and some of Sloosha I was ready to dnf.

The only part that really felt connected to eachother is during Luisa's storyline with the nuclear reactor, and how Somni's world has turned into a nuclear wasteland. Other than that its just like haphazard namedrops.

beautiful !! some parts were slower than others depending on your preference of story telling and genre, but as a whole this book far exceeded my expectations after seeing some not-so-great reviews. the commentary on cyclicality and self-destruction on historical scales and in individual instances feels like something ive been trying to put into words myself for a while now. definitely a book that ill be thinking about for a long time
