While I liked being back in this world with these characters I didn’t like this one as much as the first. The conflict of the book didn’t get addressed until the last 20% of the book and even then there wasn’t a lot that happened and all was resolved pretty easily.
I did really like the FMC and MMC together and the side characters were fun additions.
Overall this was a cute and cozy read with a quick enemies to lovers and some witchy vibes.

Kezdjük a történettel.

Loved The Ex Hex and loved this one as well. You could read this as a standalone but it complements The Ex Hex nicely. They’re such cozy reads. I just realized the author is working on a third in the series, and I’ll definitely be looking forward to being transported back into this magical world in the future.

This book focuses on Gwyn and another Penhallow, (Rhys’ older brother) Wells. I always loved Gwyn, but Wells was equally charming in his own way! The banter in this story is great. There’s the perfect amount of tension, romance, and adventure. It’s an easy, light-hearted read that is perfect for Fall. Like The Ex Hex, the ending does feel a bit rushed. That said, it didn’t really bother me. There’s a bit of spice in here and let’s just say, Wells will definitely make you swoon.

(Yes I read it in December, because my TBR is long and life is too short to only read witchy books in the Fall). Would definitely recommend this one!

This was just the light, fun, bingeable romance I needed right this moment! I LOVED Gwyn and Wells, especially together, and all their fun high jinks on the road to happily ever after. It was quick, it was charming, and it was everything I want a witchy romance to be. Delightful!
