I've read a few novels about the Roman Empire in my time but this is the first set in Pompeii. What a raw and heartbreaking story. I am so attached to these characters in the Wolf Den. I can't bear to see how Harper will write in the Vesuvius explosion... Maybe Amara will move away from Pompeii and have her happy ending before the volcano erupts??

One can only hope... :(
