As an avid lover of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, this was absolutely hilarious I was snorting with laughter in the middle of the bookshop

I can relate to Panda. He's a bit of a bastard to Teddy, but let's be honest... Teddy has it coming.

I didn't rate this book higher because, while it made me chuckle a few times, overall it was fairly repetitive. A few pages were memorable, like Panda telling Teddy to fuck off because he's reading. (Seriously, relatable.)

I need to be more strict with my rating system in 2023. Three stars is a solid book that I enjoyed, but didn't love.

I recommend this if you enjoyed The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse, and need a bit of a laugh. Swear words abound in this book. Avoid if that doesn't align with your sense of humor.

I was, horrifically, given the awful sentimental schmaltz that this book parodies by a dreadful teddy who was very pleased with herself for doing so.
I love how it bursts the bubble of toxic positivity and the billion dollar industry that has spawned. The illustrations are superb and it’s laugh out loud funny in places.

I feel like the author tried way too hard with this book. He tried to make it something that it's not. The intention to be a parody on The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse failed miserably and instead it became a story filled with hate, fat shaming and a lot of foul language. No, this book doesn't do it for me or anyone I know.
