This book was hilarious. I haven't read anything like it in such a long time. It seems to be set up to be a series, but is definitely perfect to read by itself too, though it does leave me wanting to know more. It's a super fast-paced book that combines action with humor perfectly. I couldn't put it down. Paige's commentary is incredible, quick, and witty. (Paige is our main character, raised by super-cool, progressive parents who went missing in Syria- never to be heard from again) All the characters are complex with big personalities and great senses of humor. Who's a spy and who isn't?

This book was a wonderful surprise and a great introduction for me into [a: Andrea Portes|278993|Andrea Portes|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1461268777p2/278993.jpg], who I now can't wait to read more from!

4.5 i would say!

not my favorite book from her but it definitely has the classic Andrea Portes feel and humor in it! it is at times a little confusing but you will get over it soon.

IS THERE A SEQUEL? BECAUSE I LOVE PAIGE NOLAN!

This book is written in such an interesting, questionable style, that it’s almost impossible not to like. I laughed so much and even though it took me a while to get into it and a while for the plot to get properly started I ended up really enjoying it. A book that makes me laugh out loud, is a good book in my eyes. As a sarcastic person myself I just felt like this book was perfect for me.

tl;dr: I feel like I should've liked this more than I actually did? It's funny and I really liked the MC and all her snarkiness, yet I just like I read a good but too long and too self-narrative heavy fan fic, which is both complimentary and not.

I'm just happy that I just wasted only a day for reading this.

Honestly, I decided to listen to Liberty: The Spy Who (Kind Of) Liked Me by Andrea Portes because I saw that the audiobook was relatively short. Read my full review here Link goes live 4/28/2021

So glad a friend gave me their uncorrected proof so I got the chance to read this! I'm still not sure how I feel about the ending, but overall it was a super enjoyable read. Being fairly to the left politically, I loved the various political references and was genuinely impressed by a lot of them.

I also completely adored the Edward Snowden based character, because I'm deeply predictable and have a huge crush on Snowden, haha. Definitely recommend checking this out when it comes out in June!

this book was pretty cute. despite the fact that I found the main character fairly unlikable, I still liked the book overall? And the main character kind of grew on me? That's new and different!
