So. Much. Drama!!!
This book was great finish to end. There were characters you hated, loved, and liked. It was Real Housewives mixed with murder. I don’t watch those shows, but I’m assuming the drama in the shows was matched in this book!
So good, so binge worthy!

Whew. That was a wild ride. It felt like an episode of Real Housewives in book form! It sucked me in & I couldn’t stop listening to the audio. Finished this buddy read about 4 days too early.

Jeneva Rose you have done it again! This desperate housewives meets real house housewives and all the messiness that comes with both shows. I love her ability to tell stories through multiple POVs but it never feeling hard to follow along or out of place. Enjoyed all of the characters (even the crazy ones)

She’s so far 2/2 with the books I’ve read of hers! Can’t wait to check out her 3rd book

I seen this book mentioned by the authors husband on tiktok, and immediately ran to netgalley to request it.

this book is EVERYTHING. if you like drama filled tv shows, book with multiple povs where everyone is unreliable, elite families with plenty of secrets to hide - you have to read this.

i was immediately captured into this book from beginning to the end. it was a constant flip back of ‘what actually happened? who actually did it?’

you don’t know who’s murdered, motivation, suspects - anything. you find little clues out throughout the story through gossip between these rich southern women. who, by the way, make amazing characters. they’re so cunning, and sly that you never know who’s actually telling the truth. what piece of gossip is real, and if what happened really happened in that way.

the subtle details the author puts throughout the story so you can connect things together was so perfect, i found myself reading it then thinking ‘wait’ and flipping back to other pages and it was so well done.

i love how the book took place in buckhead, since that’s so close to me. it felt like an everyday story you’d heard being gossiped about, or read in an article - the author got the personalities for these type of women down pat! it made for such a comical, and enjoyable mystery.

the ending really did have me shocked, i know i’ve seen a few people say that it was rushed but i think it was paced well honestly. i think it made a way bigger impact, and made you think ‘wait, wtf?’

i overall really enjoyed this, thank you netgalley for my e-arc!

This book is like watching a trashy soap - lots of drama, horrible villain, women banding together to take down the enemy.
Jenny owns Glow - a classy salon for the wealthy member of Buckhead, very ritzy suburb of Atlanta, GA. With the help of her investor, Olivia, Jenny offers spa pampering as well as beauty salon options such as hair and makeup. With the help of her assistant, Kesha, they keep these well-kept women looking photograph ready.
Crystal has married Bryce, the ex-husband of Shannon - who is now socially tossed aside. Olivia ascends to the position of power on the local committee - digging her nails into everyone's business. Karen is caught in the middle - long time friend and supporter of Shannon but obligated to at least offer friendship to Crystal.
And the drama ensues.
Very enjoyable, nice buildup to the ending - though predictable, still very enjoyable.
