I am an art lover. I have long been fascinated by the Rothko paintings. My parents in NYC knew him especially my mother. I am like him Jewish.
I am reading this very dense and unnecessarily complex book about the art of his father not the personals. His father died when Christopher was 6. He trained as a psychologist and has lived with his fathers art however he never knew his father as a young person or as an adult.
I am determined to finish this book and will withhold further comments.
This is a very valuable reading for someone who is interested in the art of Rothko. This is not about the person Rothko except as the artist Rothko.
I admire Christopher for his commitment to his father's art...
