Magpie is a good thriller. It had an amazing twist around halfway which kept me hooked, it follows a couple who take in a lodger. The less you know the better.

I saw people raving over this book so picked it up and was really enjoying it until the twist: the main character is a violent schizophrenic. Psychosis as the plot twist felt lazy, and the entire book felt like it was perpetuating stereotypes around a hugely stigmatised mental illness.
